Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective Date:

This Privacy Policy explains how PipeBlox processes personal information in connection with the PipeBlox mobile app, the pipeblox.app website, and support interactions.

Scope and Controller

Yonatan Zlotkin is the operator of PipeBlox and the controller of the personal information and personal data described in this Privacy Policy. In this policy, "PipeBlox," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Yonatan Zlotkin operating PipeBlox.

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through the PipeBlox mobile application, the public PipeBlox website, and direct support communications. It does not govern third-party services that have their own privacy notices, including the Apple App Store, Google Play, device manufacturers, or third-party websites you visit through links in PipeBlox.

PipeBlox is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed to children under 13. PipeBlox does not require you to create an account to play.

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or would like to exercise a privacy right, contact support@pipeblox.app.

Information We Collect

Depending on your device, region, and how you use PipeBlox, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Device, app, and diagnostic information. This can include platform, operating system, app version, build number, language, session identifiers, consent status, and similar technical metadata made available by your device, browser, or integrated SDKs.
  • Gameplay and usage information. This can include session starts and ends, whether you enter or complete the first-time user experience, board starts and completions, board abandonment, grid size and color-count selections, puzzle duration, move counts, time-to-first-move, progression signals, ad-continuation behavior, and other high-level gameplay analytics. PipeBlox is designed to use summary-level event analytics rather than per-rotation telemetry or session replay.
  • Ad-related information. If ads are enabled, advertising identifiers or comparable identifiers, App Tracking Transparency status on iOS, consent signals, ad-request data, ad display events, and related anti-fraud or measurement data may be processed by our advertising and consent vendors.
  • Purchase and entitlement information. If you buy or restore the "Remove Ads" purchase, relevant purchase status, product identifiers, entitlement status, and transaction-related information may be processed through RevenueCat and the applicable app store. PipeBlox does not receive your full payment card number.
  • Support communications. If you contact support, we receive your email address and any information you include in your message, attachments, or follow-up correspondence.
  • Website technical/request data. When you visit the public PipeBlox website, hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically process limited request and device information such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, referring pages, and standard server logs.
  • On-device or browser storage. PipeBlox stores limited data locally on your device or browser, such as first-time tutorial completion, games played, best records, ad timing state, and cached purchase entitlement state, so the app can function properly and preserve basic progress and preferences.

How We Collect Information

We collect information directly from you when you use PipeBlox, make a purchase, restore a purchase, visit the website, or contact support. We also collect information automatically through your device, browser, operating system, app stores, and integrated service providers that help us operate analytics, advertising, consent management, hosting, and purchase flows.

Some information is generated by your activity inside the app, such as board completions or settings choices. Other information is provided by third-party platforms and vendors, such as app-store purchase responses, advertising identifiers, or consent and tracking status signals.

How We Use Information

We use personal information and personal data to:

  • operate, maintain, secure, debug, and improve PipeBlox and the public website;
  • measure gameplay performance, understand product usage, and make product decisions using pseudonymous analytics;
  • show ads, cap ad frequency, measure ad continuation, and manage consent and privacy choices where required by law;
  • process, validate, restore, and support the "Remove Ads" purchase and related entitlements;
  • prevent fraud, abuse, technical misuse, and violations of platform or legal requirements;
  • respond to support requests and maintain related business records; and
  • comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms or other policies.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, our legal bases may include performance of a contract or steps taken at your request, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and improving PipeBlox, and your consent where the law requires it. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, although that will not affect processing already carried out.

Ads, Analytics, and Purchases

PipeBlox is designed for a minimal analytics launch configuration. We may use Google Firebase Analytics to collect pseudonymous app analytics such as session events, tutorial completion, puzzle duration, move counts, board abandonment, difficulty selections, ad-continuation signals, and purchase funnel events. We do not describe this data as anonymous because some analytics and device data may still be reasonably associated with a device or user under applicable law.

If advertising is enabled, PipeBlox may use Google AdMob and the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to deliver ads, request and honor consent in applicable regions, measure ad performance, and manage privacy choices. Depending on your location, permissions, and settings, PipeBlox may show personalized ads, non-personalized ads, or reduced-tracking ads. On iOS, the app may request App Tracking Transparency permission before certain advertising-related processing occurs. If you do not grant permission or do not consent where consent is required, you may still see ads, but they may be less relevant.

PipeBlox may use RevenueCat together with Apple and Google billing systems to offer and restore the "Remove Ads" purchase. Purchase processing, receipt validation, entitlement checks, refund handling, and related anti-fraud or accounting records may involve RevenueCat, Apple, Google, and their related service providers. PipeBlox may cache limited entitlement information on your device so the app can remember whether ads should be removed.

How We Share Information

We may disclose information to service providers and business partners that help us operate PipeBlox, including:

  • Google for Firebase Analytics, AdMob, UMP, hosting-related services, and related infrastructure or measurement functions;
  • RevenueCat for purchase management, entitlement handling, and restore support;
  • Apple and Google as platform, app-distribution, billing, restore, fraud-prevention, and device ecosystem providers; and
  • other vendors and infrastructure providers that support website hosting, content delivery, analytics, security, communications, compliance, or professional services.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to protect rights or safety, to investigate fraud or abuse, or in connection with a business transaction involving PipeBlox.

PipeBlox does not sell personal information for money. However, some disclosures to advertising, analytics, or measurement partners may be treated as a "sale," "sharing," or use for "targeted advertising" under certain US state privacy laws, depending on the facts and the jurisdiction.

International Transfers

PipeBlox and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, including the United States and other jurisdictions where our vendors or infrastructure operate. Data-protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws in your jurisdiction.

Where applicable law requires it, we will rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms or safeguards for international data transfers, such as contractual protections or other recognized legal bases.

Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to operate PipeBlox, complete purchases, maintain records, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

  • Analytics, ad, and consent records may be retained according to our business needs and the retention settings or policies of the service providers involved.
  • Purchase and entitlement records may be retained for transaction support, accounting, tax, anti-fraud, and customer service purposes.
  • Support emails and related correspondence may be retained for follow-up, recordkeeping, and operational protection.
  • Data stored locally on your device or browser may remain until you clear it, uninstall the app, reset your device, or your platform removes it.

Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on your platform and region, you may be able to manage privacy choices through device settings, App Tracking Transparency controls on iOS, consent prompts, resetting or limiting advertising identifiers, clearing local browser/app storage, or uninstalling PipeBlox. You can also contact support@pipeblox.app for help with a privacy request.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, and subject to applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are a resident of a US state with applicable privacy rights, you may have the right to know or access certain information, correct information, delete information, obtain a portable copy of certain information, opt out of certain sale, sharing, or targeted advertising activities, and appeal a denial where required by law. PipeBlox will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Because PipeBlox generally does not require account registration, we may need information that reasonably verifies your request before taking action, and in some cases we may be limited in our ability to associate particular records with a named person.

Children's Privacy

PipeBlox is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in a manner that requires parental consent under applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to PipeBlox inappropriately, contact support@pipeblox.app so we can review the situation and take appropriate steps.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Services and Links

PipeBlox may link to or interoperate with third-party services, including the Apple App Store, Google Play, Google services, RevenueCat, and external websites. Those third parties may process information under their own terms and privacy notices, which we encourage you to review.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may revise the effective date above and take other steps that are appropriate under applicable law and the nature of the changes.
